Regulatory support for botanical ingredients depends on the exact product, intended use and destination market. This page explains what we confirm, which records can be requested and what remains product-specific.

Conformity status

What we confirm by product

The overview below is not a blanket clearance for every product. Classification and records are confirmed with the specific quotation.

EU conformity

Material is supplied for placing on the EU market. Which regulation applies in a given case depends on intended use: food, food supplement and cosmetics are treated differently. The product-specific classification comes with the quotation.

Safety and quality documentation

Safety data sheet to the applicable version of the CLP Regulation, technical data sheet and certificate of analysis. On request, allergen and origin declarations and, where relevant, CITES records.

Declarability

Botanical species, plant part used, method and carrier are stated so you can derive your own ingredient listing from them.

Species protection and legal origin

Origin and legal requirements are assessed for the exact botanical species and shipment. CITES records are named only where that species is actually listed in the Appendices.

Botanical species, method, marker compound, appearance, solubility, suggested dosage, packaging and storage.

Safety data sheet

Prepared to the applicable version of the CLP Regulation, in the language of the destination country.

CITES Where applicable

Species-protection and trade record

Species-protection and trade requirements are assessed for each botanical species and shipment. CITES records accompany a shipment only where the species is actually listed in the Appendices.

Documents are not offered as public downloads. You receive them on request, against your company: so it stays traceable who holds which revision.
