Price is the easiest number to compare and often the least informative one. A cheaper extract with incomplete evidence can cost more later through reformulation, release delays or regulatory work.

Compare the evidence behind the quote

  • Documentation completeness: confirm the current status of the CoA, TDS, SDS and application-specific records.
  • Traceability: ask whether the supplier can identify raw-material origin at lot level.
  • Batch consistency: compare marker values and analytical methods across more than one batch where data is available.
  • Legal origin and trade controls: check the exact botanical species and the records required for that species and shipment. CITES applies only to listed species.
